In consultation with SmartSAVER's Program Director, we helped SmartSAVER streamline the growth and optimization of their Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) on-boarding solution by creating an automated web-based platform where low-income families across Canada can gain access to education savings in minutes.
The Challenge
Many families, especially those in low-income communities, have limited access to financial products such as RESP. There was an urgent need to remove friction from the process. The traditional paper-based application took months to complete, which led to high-drop off rates among participants and many families excluded from accessing the Canada Learning Bond. Digitization would allow families to bridge the gap between them and their financial institution.

The Solution
We developed MySmartFUTURE.org, a modern web-based platform capable of processing a large volume of RESP applications each day. It features a responsive user interface optimized for omni-channel delivery and access (web, tablet, and mobile). We simplified the RESP application to a simple 20-minute automated application. We also identified and optimized other areas, including automated email messaging, live chat support, and data aggregation tools.


The Impact
Now, families can add up to 6 children per application; choose their bank based on geographic proximity or ease of remote access; check their application status; access real-time assistance through live chat; and secure their information with a password-protected login.

The Challenge
EcoSchools Canada sought to expand their award-winning educational and certification services into a nationwide, bi-lingual environmental curriculum for K-12 students. Determined to make a complicated topic fun and intuitive, they needed a user-friendly experience that allowed teachers and students to collaborate on important environmental initiatives, including energy conservation, waste reduction, and food preservation.

The Solution
We developed a robust platform that enabled schools to gamify their environmental lessons. It awards badges for completing activities, and uses a points system to hand out gold, silver, and bronze trophies. The platform supports thousands of schools with varying levels of user permissions that provide valuable insights to instructors and board administrators.

When EcoSchools launched its new national program, the new automated delivery system saved their staff thousands of hours by reducing administrative inefficiencies. Accessibility to the program has also increased, as the platform allows schools to apply for EcoSchool certification without filling out and mailing in large amounts of paperwork.

Our digital education platform enabled the DoughMain Financial Literacy Foundation to deliver financial literacy content in an online format, allowing them to expand their reach across the northeastern U.S., gain insights on community needs, and engage their students in new ways.
The Challenge
DoughMain wanted to modernize their FinKit financial literacy curriculum and digitize their content distribution to better serve young students and expand their program to more high schools across the U.S. Their expansion plans prioritized mobile access and delivering engaging content.

The Solution
By leveraging our turn-key Fincharm Digital Education Platform, DoughMain turned over 1000 pages of paper-based content into a comprehensive financial literacy e-learning environment in under 2 weeks. Our solution enabled omni-channel delivery, interactive quizzes and assignments, multimedia content hosting, keyword search features, and teacher/learner segmentation. The solution also featured an administrative dashboard where instructors could modify content and aggregate performance data.
